In the morning, we drove to the nearby Circuit de la Sarthe, hoping to catch some thrilling 24-hour racing action. Unfortunately, much to our disappointment, there was no racing scheduled that day. Luckily, the adjoining museum was open, and it more than made up for it. We spent a wonderful few hours admiring the incredible collection of classic and historic racing cars, soaking in the rich motorsport heritage, and, of course, taking plenty of photographs.
From there, we embarked on a long drive of 688 kilometres — around six and a half hours on the road — to Camping D’Arouach, located just outside Lourdes. We arrived shortly after nightfall, tired but excited for the next stage of our journey. At the campsite, we rented a cosy chalet spacious enough to accommodate all of us comfortably. Although our motorhome had all the facilities we needed, we decided to enjoy the comfort and charm of the chalet for the night.
As the women prepared a delicious chicken curry with rice, Pratik and I fired up a disposable barbecue and grilled even more chicken to add to the feast. With a good stock of beers, wines, and ciders already on hand, we relaxed and enjoyed our drinks in moderation, bringing another memorable day of fun, laughter, and adventure to a perfect close.
Tomorrow, our journey takes a more spiritual turn as we head on a holy pilgrimage to Lourdes.
