After two enjoyable days in Barcelona, it was time to continue our European adventure with one another long drive of the trip. We set off early in the morning for an 809-kilometre journey that would take us nearly eight hours, travelling north through breathtaking landscapes towards the French–Swiss border near Geneva.

The drive itself was a memorable experience, taking us from the warm Mediterranean coastline through rolling countryside, scenic mountain regions, and picturesque villages. As we headed further north, the scenery gradually transformed into the stunning Alpine landscapes for which this part of Europe is famous. Long stretches of motorway, beautiful valleys, and distant snow-capped peaks made the journey both tiring and incredibly rewarding.

By evening, we arrived at Camping Relais du Léman, situated on the outskirts of Geneva and close to the shores of the magnificent Lake Geneva. The campsite was peaceful and beautifully located, offering a relaxing atmosphere after a demanding day on the road. Surrounded by greenery and with easy access to both France and Switzerland, it served as an ideal stopover for travellers exploring the region.

The area around the campsite was charming and scenic, with the nearby lake adding to the tranquil beauty of the surroundings. The cool evening air and calm environment provided a welcome contrast to the busy city life we had experienced in Barcelona.

After settling in and freshening up, we headed out to enjoy a much-anticipated meal at a local Indian restaurant. After such a long drive, the comforting aroma of authentic Indian spices instantly lifted our spirits. We thoroughly enjoyed a delicious dinner filled with rich curries, freshly baked naan bread, and flavourful dishes that reminded us of home while travelling through Europe.

With full stomachs and tired bodies, we returned to the campsite for a well-earned rest, ready to continue our journey through yet another beautiful part of Europe the following day.
