Day 12 – August 27th, 2008 – Long Drive to the City of Lights
We checked out of Frejus, paying a steep 276 Euros for two nights, and hit the road at 8:00 a.m. It was our longest drive yet—875 kilometres to Paris.
With just a couple of quick stops, we reached the Bois de Boulogne campsite by 6:00 p.m. We were too tired to venture out, so we stayed in and headed to the campsite bar to unwind. A few drinks later, we realised just how expensive Paris can be—even in a campsite! A lesson learned.
