Day 13 – August 28th, 2008 – Au Revoir, Europe
After breakfast, we checked out, paying 65 Euros for our one-night stay. Though we’d been to Paris many times, we still managed a quick sightseeing spin, just to say hello—and goodbye—to this iconic city.
Truth be told, Paris needs a week, not a few hours, but time was no longer on our side. By mid-afternoon, we were on the road to Calais—295 kilometres away—to catch our 4:00 p.m. ferry back to Dover.
