Bhuj — Palaces, Ruins, and Stories

Aina Mahal — Echoes of a Royal Past

Our first deep dive into Kutch’s heritage was the Aina Mahal. Though parts of it now stand in ruins — especially after earthquakes — the palace still whispers stories of grandeur.

Walking through cracked walls and faded mirrors felt like stepping inside history itself. It wasn’t just a monument; it was a reminder of how time reshapes everything.

Kala Dungar — Mystery at the Edge of the Rann

From Bhuj, we drove about 40 km (1–1.5 hours) to Kala Dungar, the highest point in Kutch.

Here, we experienced the famous Magnetic Hill, where vehicles appear to roll uphill when placed in neutral — a fun and mysterious moment that had all of us smiling and filming.

But what truly stayed with us was the view — the Rann of Kutch stretching endlessly, silent and humbling.
