Calico Ghost Town and the Journey Home

After saying goodbye to vibrant Las Vegas, we began our journey back towards California. Along the way we stopped at Calico Ghost Town, an old silver mining town preserved from the Wild West era.

The children were especially excited exploring the old wooden buildings, dusty streets and historic surroundings. It felt as though we had stepped back in time into an old cowboy movie. We took plenty of photographs and enjoyed learning about the town’s mining history.

Later we stopped for a delicious Mexican meal before continuing the long drive home. After another leisurely journey across the desert highways, we finally arrived safely back home late at night.
