Day 3 — The Needles
The next day we visited the famous Needles. The white cliffs and pointed rocks rising from the sea were unforgettable. Even now, after so many years, I can still imagine the view.
The children were fascinated by the chairlift and the coloured sands. We may have bought a small souvenir bottle filled with layers of coloured sand — the kind of thing every family brought home from the Isle of Wight in those days.
We took photographs, walked around, and enjoyed the fresh air. Nitin was curious about everything, asking questions about the rocks and sea. Shital held Hansa’s hand tightly near the cliff paths but smiled whenever we stopped for a picture.
That evening at the campsite, we talked about how beautiful the island was. It felt peaceful, safe, and far away from everyday life.
