Day 03 16 July 2013 – Beaches, Markets, and a Bit of Racing

Having our own car gave us the freedom to explore. We set off toward Anjuna Beach, but along the way, something unexpected caught our eye—a go-karting track.

Naturally, we couldn’t resist.

The karts were a little worn, but that didn’t dampen the excitement. Shiv raced ahead to claim first place, Shital followed in second, and I… well, I brought up the rear. Still, it was all great fun.

From there, we continued to Anjuna, once the heart of Goa’s hippie movement in the 1960s and 70s. The famous flea market was buzzing with colour—handicrafts, clothes, jewellery, and souvenirs. While Hansa and Shital enjoyed bargaining for gifts, Shiv and I relaxed with chilled beers, watching the world go by.

Later, we drove to Vagator Beach, known for its dramatic rocky cliffs and scenic beauty. Stretching out on sunbeds, we enjoyed fresh Goan seafood while taking in the stunning views.
